Medical Emergency Skills Development Programme

INTRODUCTION

Responding to medical emergencies require evidence-based knowledge, sound clinical judgement, technical and non technical skills, and precise life saving skills.While all physicians should be capable of managing emergencies, anaesthesiologists, intensivist and emergency physicians frequently confront the most complex and time-critical situations at the clinical frontline. It is therefore essential to equip these specialists , as well as nursing staff, with structured training in resuscitation , crisis management , team work, effective communication,importantly teaching these skills to educators creates a multiplier effect enabling them to train and mentor their teams with greater consistency and precision.
